Toyota confirms Brunner exit

A Toyota spokesman confirmed on Monday afternoon that chief designer Gustav Brunner has left the Cologne team.

Speaking from the Japan-owned team's HQ in Germany, he said Austrian Brunner's role had become 'obsolete' because three separate design groups - the unique trademark of technical director Mike Gascoyne - run in parallel.
