BMW motorsport director Mario Theissen has warned rival teams that his outfit is working flat out at its Hinwil and Munich bases on improving the performance of its 2007 car. The goal he has for the rest of the season is to keep fighting for podium finishes and defend third place in the championship.
"Of course, we will keep on working flat-out in Hinwil and Munich," Theissen confirmed. "We are battling it out for podium finishes with the strongest teams on the Formula One grid and we want to defend out third position in the Constructors' Championship until the season is over."
F1 is currently in a three-week testing ban for the summer holidays before the Turkish Grand Prix on 26 August.
