Lewis Hamilton insists that his major crash in Friday practice did not affect him during today's qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix after the McLaren driver ended up third on the grid behind Kubica and Massa.
"The crash makes absolutely no difference, I just get back in the car and go faster - I think my first lap through that corner today I just went even faster than I have before - it's important to knock down that barrier as soon as you can after an accident," Hamilton said.
"Ferrari seems to have outstanding pace at the moment," he added. "In qualifying I was happy with the balance we had and we knew we could challenge for the front row. It was a decent lap and if it was a perfect lap we could have had pole. I'll go back and study it and look forward to the race. I think we have a good strategy for the race and that will be interesting tomorrow."
