The aerodynamic updates, feature a new winglet connected to the front wing endplate of the MP4-24 as well as a bubble-like piece - most likely containing electronic components which allow drivers to adjust wing settings from the cockpit this year - courtsey of the new Kinetic Energy Recover System (KERS).
Testing times from this week would appear to show that the Woking-based team is struggling slightly to adapt to the new regulations, although they have also been testing the slower Bridgestone tyres for 2010. McLaren has clearly lost more running time this morning following Hamilton's stoppage who, after yesterday's session told reporters that the team still has a lot of work to do to make sure they are ready for Australia.
A similar winglet has also been added to the front wing of the Ferrari F60.
