Nick Fry has admitted that he longs to see Rubens Barrichello rewarded for his work at the Brawn GP team this season with a first Grand Prix victory for what would be over four and a half years. The Brazilian, whose team-mate has claimed six of the first eight races, currently trails championship leader Jenson Button by 23 points.

| Fry is confident that Barrichello's winning time will come |
With Button having been beaten to the highest spot at only the Grands Prix of Shanghai and Silverstone, Barrichello has joined him on the rostrum on four occasions although two fifth places and a fourth plus a retirement have allowed the former to stretch out a healthy advantage. "We've been delighted with Rubens's performance all through this year," Brawn sporting director Fry said to Autosport. "It would be lovely if we could get him on the top step of the podium."
With Barrichello having won nine races since entering F1 in 1993, team-mate Button is now just two away from that total although Fry fully recognises the input from the most experienced driver in the sport: "He is trying unbelievably hard. For someone who has been in Grand Prix racing for so long, his level of motivation is incredible - he is doing himself proud."
Having overhauled Ricardo Patrese's 16-year record of most races contested last season, Barrichello continues to widen the opening in the statistics with 275 Grand Prix starts now to his name.
