Campos driver announcement expected in August
03 July 2009The new-for-2010 Campos Meta team has revealed that it will be announcing the name of its first driver at the European Grand Prix in three races' time. An announcement is reportedly due in Valencia, as the new squad prepares to make the jump from GP2.

With Campos joined by USF1 and Manor as new entrants next year, none of the three teams have yet made official statements regarding their driver line-up. With the Campos car set to enter the wind tunnel for the first time next week, however, the driver selection is expected to be revealed in six weeks.
"I hope to announce one driver at the European Grand Prix in August," team boss Adrian Campos told Autosport. Although no hints have yet been dropped by the team, Spanish media reports suggest that countryman and current McLaren tester Pedro de la Rosa is a likely candidate for a seat.
