Like team-mate Giancarlo Fisichella, Adrian Sutil is keen to register the first ever points for the Force India team and would particularly love to do so at his home Grand Prix this weekend. As the F1 circus heads to the Nürburgring, a top eight result is the German's goal.
With missed opportunities for Sutil coming in China this year and Monaco last season, the Starnberg-born driver scored his own first point for the Spyker team in the Japanese Grand Prix of 2007. "I'm completely fine now and looking forward to Germany!" said 26-year-old Adrian, who suffered a heavy crash in qualifying at Silverstone last time out.

"I think it's been a good season so far; we have been able to finish a lot of races and in the last two or three events it was possible to go into Q2, which was a big success for us. For sure, the last race in Silverstone was a bit disappointing as it was an important race with our new updates and we had an incident in qualifying. Without that, I think we could have been really close to the points, or even in the points, but overall we are consistently making progress and that's the most important."
With team-mate Fisichella wanting 'more' now that the pace of the Mercedes-powered VJM 002 has increased, what are Adrian's personal targets? "Q2 would be very nice and hopefully it would be enough for some points - it's definitely time to get a few," he said, hoping that a better qualifying result will lessen the risk of on-track incidents in races. "Let's see what the other teams have update-wise, as I expect maybe one or two to move a bit further to the front and we don't have a major update this time round. We were pretty strong at Silverstone and I expect it to be similar in Germany."
