'Bianchi to test Ferrari at Jerez'

18 November 2009

Jules Bianchi, this year's Champion of the Formula 3 Euroseries, is set to pilot the Ferrari Formula One car at the three-day test session in Spain at the beginning of next month. The Frenchman has also been tipped as leading contender to join a new young driver development scheme for the Scuderia.

Having paid Ferrari a visit at the Belgian Grand Prix in late August, Autosprint has revealed that Bianchi will now drive the Maranello-built car as the new-for-2009 inexperienced drivers test begins on Tuesday 1 December.

Managed by Nicolas Todt, son of FIA President and former Ferrari Team Principal Jean, Frenchman Bianchi comfortably clinched this year's F3 Euro title with time and races to space. The 20-year-old makes the jump up to GP2 with the same ART team for 2010.
