Official: Bianchi handed Ferrari test
20 November 2009Ferrari has confirmed that F3 Euroseries Champion Jules Bianchi will be running in the team's F60 for the young driver test session at Jerez next month. The Frenchman will pilot the 2009 car for the first two days of the 3-day event while a trio of other men will be sharing the cockpit as the session comes to a close.

With the test in southern Spain - only for drivers who have competed in less than three Grands Prix - beginning on Tuesday 1 December, Bianchi will take control for the first two days as, like last year, the Maranello squad trials three news drivers on Thursday - Italians Daniel Zampieri and Marco Zioli plus Mexico's Pablo Sanchez López.
"I am really happy," Bianchi, who is managed by Nicolas Todt - son of FIA President and ex-Ferrari Team Principal Jean - told Autosport. "It is a very good thing for me to drive an F1 car and especially a Ferrari because, for me, it is the best team in the world. I will do my best and just learn - because the most important thing is to learn."
Jules is delighted, however, that his first Formula 1 test has come with the most famous name of them all. "Of course it is really good," he continued. "For me to drive in an F1 car for the first time, and for it to be a Ferrari, is just amazing. I cannot say any other words."
