After Michael Schumacher crossed the finish line first on Saturday, it was former Ferrari team-mate and event host Felipe Massa who, to the delight of the Brazilian crowd, stole the spoils in Sunday's heat. Having registered a podium the day before, it was a popular day at the new Florianopolis track.
With the Challenge of the Stars having first made an appearance when Paulista Massa was a Sauber driver back in 2005, the Ferrari man returned to competitive racing this weekend for the first time since suffering his horrific qualifying crash in Hungary, just over four months ago.

It was no easy feat for Felipe, however, crossing the finish line just 87 thousandths of a second ahead of 'Schumi' after the action kicked off with the field in reverse order to how it had finished 24 hours previously.
Although a third and first had been picked up by Massa, Schumacher's first and second places over the course of the two days was enough to confirm the German as overall winner, with IndyCar's Vitor Meira rounding out the podium ahead of Rubens Barrichello, who led the initial stages of Sunday's race.
