Dumped team manager Ange Pasquali is reportedly considering legal action after Toyota fired him in spite of success in Rally, Le Mans and the Drivers' Academy. Research boss Norbert Kreyer also got the chop in a move that F1 principal Tsutomu Tomita said is designed to boost efficiency and improve 'communication.'
"It may seem severe," the Japanese acknowledged this week. "Ange made a significant contribution to our projects."
But Tomita insisted the decision was discussed 'with all personnel' involved. "We felt we should establish a structure that is more focused on achieving our ambitious goals," said the team's boss, "so that's why we decided to do it."
