Dominguez turned down Jordan offer
17 February 2005Mario Dominguez will not join the Jordan team according to the Mexican racing driver himself. He has received an offer of the Jordan Formula One team but turned it down to remain racing for HWM in the Champ Car series.
Dominguez did sign a letter of intent though for 2006 to race with the Midland F1 team. "I have signed a letter of intent to drive for the Midland team in 2006," Dominguez told Autoracing1. "It is not vital that I will bring money because the team and the series know that if I am in F1 there will be great interest in F1 from Mexican sponsors."
Dominguez also turned down a role as Jordan's third driver because it would require a lot of travelling. Together with being a race driver at HVM it would become a too busy schedule for the Mexican.
