McNish hot on Audi return

Former Formula One driver Allan McNish was immediately on the pace on his return to the Audi UK Le Mans team.

Following a three-day test at Road Atlanta McNish set the fastest time of all drivers. Allan's team mates include Frank Biela and Johnny Herbert.

"First I focussed on getting used to driving a sports car again compared to an F1 car - like remembering to right-foot brake, changing gears, and the extra weight," McNish said.

"The biggest difference from the Audi R8 I drove four years ago and the car now is the petrol direct injection engine which felt simply tremendous," he added.
