Alesi to drive Fangio's Mercedes in Bahrain

Jean Alesi will drive Juan Manuel Fangio's Mercedes-Benz W196 during the opening ceremony of Bahrain's GP circuit on Wednesday. The track will be the venue for the third round of the 2004 Formula One World Championship on 4 April.

During the programme, which includes a visit of Bahrain's King Shaikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Jean Alesi will also drive the new Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren sports car.
