Sauber chief warns Bridgestone will stay competitive

Sauber Technical Director Willy Rampf has warned rivals he expects Bridgestone tyres to continue being extremely competitive even in very hot conditions where Michelin have traditionally been stronger.
"We learn with each event more about the car and overall we had very little problems," Rampf said after Felipe Massa brought home the Swiss team's first point of the season in this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix.
"The new Bridgestone tyres are a good step forward, this latest generation is a real step up in performance," he added. "We had a very good test in Imola and we know that in the past, at a track like this in very high temperatures, our rivals have had an advantage, but that was not the case here, which is very promising for the coming races."
