Firman signs Nissan World Series drive

Former Jordan driver Ralph Firman has signed for the Gabord Competicion team in the Dallara Nissan World Series for 2004. After being unable to secure his future in F1 Firman had been linked with a possible move to Champ cars, but has instead joined the two-time championship winning team in the Nissan World Series.

"I am delighted to join Gabord Competicion as the team aims to win a third successive Formula Nissan World Series title," Firman said. "The team has clearly dominated in recent years and while I have limited preparation time before this weekend's opening event I know everything is in place to give me a chance of doing well."

Firman won the Formula Nippon title in 2002 before joining F1 with Jordan.
