Eddie Jordan meeting Trust and Verstappen
19 April 2004On Monday morning Irish team boss Eddie Jordan will be meeting Jos Verstappen and his manager Raymond Vermeulen at the Trust head office in Dordrecht, Holland. They will most likely be talking again about signing up Jos Verstappen for the Jordan Formula One team.
Rumours in the Dutch press are saying that Eddie Jordan might even want to see Verstappen at his team in the upcoming race this weekend at Imola. Verstappen though isn't in such a big hurry. Jos 'The Boss' Verstappen would first want to test with the EJ14 a few days to feel the pace of the car.
Trust director Michel Perridon declared on Saturday at Hockenheim that Eddie Jordan contacted him on Friday to meet him on short terms. Though what the exact meaning of the meeting is Perridon didn't want to say. Perridon was in Hockenheim for the season opening round of the DTM where Trust sponsors Dutch young talent Christijan Albers. Albers finished second, while starting from 10th.
"I'm open to talk about anything with the Jordan team," said Perridon. Perridon won't interfere with the wishes of Verstappen though. "That is not my business. Raymond Vermeulen has to deal with that on behalf of Verstappen."
It is likely that Giorgio Pantano won't be making it to the end of the season. The Italian is not performing as expected. The Jordan team didn't score a point in any of the races thus far.
