Verstappen's Jordan test cancelled

26 May 2004

Jos Verstappen's planned test at Silverstone this coming Tuesday with the Jordan Formula One team has been cancelled by the Dutchman. Verstappen wasn't comfortable enough in the Jordan and the team was unfortunately for him not able to adjust the car to his body. Reason enough for Verstappen to cancel the test.

"If you're not comfortable in the car you won't be able to set a good performance," said Verstappen. Verstappen's body is bigger than Heidfeld and Pantano and although the seatfitting of a few weeks ago seemed to be fine Jos had to cancel the test less than a week before the big day.

"We discussed the decision with both the team and sponsors. It's a pity obviously, especially for the mechanics who tried so hard to get me comfortable in the car. I'd like to thank them for their hard work."
