Sir Jackie Stewart has been re-elected as 'British Racing Drivers' Club' president. The knighted Scot, former triple F1 world champion, is set to stay on for another year as the Club's Silverstone circuit works on securing the British GP.

Martin Brundle and John Surtees are new vice-presidents, as is McLaren team principal Ron Dennis, who is the first 'non race driver' to ever fill the role. A couple of grand prix pundits, meanwhile, were added to the board.

Respected British journalist Alan Henry and commentator Tony Jardine are the 'first associate members to be elected to the board,' a spokesman commented.
