Sauber team prefers to keep single-lap qualifying

Sauber would 'prefer to keep' the current single-lap qualifying procedure. It appears as if Formula One teams have decided that the much-criticised system should be scrapped in favour of a single-hour, aggregate-time format in July.
But from a commercial point of view, private team Sauber likes it the way it is. ''Two single lap runs is guaranteed television time for us,'' said Willy Rampf.
Hinwil's technical boss echoed the fears of Minardi and Jordan that in a 'free for all,' the television focus is understandably on the pole-potential cars.
