WilliamsF1 technical director Patrick Head was delighted to see one of his cars back on the podium at the Japanese Grand Prix as Ralf Schumacher cruised home in second.
"I suppose I'd be dishonest if I said no, but we're certainly pleased to be on the podium and with two cars in the points we've pulled away from McLaren," Head said. "Ralf did what he had to and the second place is good. Montoya had a go at Trulli and it didn't work out for him and he lost out."
Williams is fourth in the constructors' championship, thirteen points ahead of McLaren.
Head went on to pay tribute to Ralf, "Everyone in the team is saying what a pleasure Ralf is to work with and why have Frank and I not signed him for next season," he revealed. "He's a fast driver and deserves to get good results."
