Marketing company Brand Synergy, which had been linked with an attempt to save the British Grand Prix is now being mentioned as a bidder for the Jaguar Racing team, Autosport has reported.
The report claims that a consortium associated with Brand Synergy (which has close links with Nigel Mansell) has lodged interest with HSBC which is handling the sale of the F1 team and engine manufacturer Cosworth.
The same report claims the bid is being treated by HSBC as 'very serious'.
Officially Jaguar has until November 15 to reach a deal and place its entry for the 2005 F1 World Championship.
