Gené can't guess Williams seat

03 December 2004

Marc Gené thinks the battle for the last Williams seat will be very close. Both Antonio Pizzonia and Nick Heidfeld are in the race and testing for the team, but still have to wait for the final call of the management. The former Williams test driver told F1Racing.net that both drivers have equal chances.

"Petrobras is supporting Pizzonia and BMW wants Heidfeld to drive. It is close. I think a lot depends on how Heidfeld is driving this week. My opinion is that it will be close till it has been decided."
The Spanish driver also added that he had very busy weeks since he signed at Ferrari. "The reactions in Spain are huge! I do not know what is happening, I never had so much press wanting to talk to me. Of course Alonso is more popular, but I have to say my popularity is rising now."
