Jerez Day 3: Webber still fastest

Mark Webber continued to set the pace on the third day of testing this week at Jerez in southern Spain. The Australian clocked a best lap of 1m16.505s at the wheel of his BMW WilliamsF1 car to finish 0.3s ahead of Kimi Raikkonen.

It was another warm and sunny day at Jerez with Webber completing 72 laps. Today he was joined by Antonio Pizzonia who took over from Nick Heidfeld. The Brazilian completed 63 laps and finished sixth fastest, 1.1s behind Webber.
Raikkonen finished second fastest on McLaren's first day of testing this year while McLaren test driver Alex Wurz came in third fastest. Between them the McLaren duo put on 188 laps between them.
Franck Montagny continued to test solo for Renault finishing the day fourth fastest after 135 laps - the most of any driver in action today.
Jenson Button conducted his first day of testing this year and finished fifth fastest while BAR Honda test driver Anthony Davidson was seventh.

Ralf Schumacher continued to test the new Toyota TF105 and finished eighth fastest after 69 laps while Marc Gené joined the test at the wheel of his Ferrari - the only Bridgestone-shod car in action at this circuit. The Spaniard's day ended early when he crashed and the team needed the rest of the day to repair the damage. Gené was not injured.
