Pizzonia's Williams broke down

The BMW WilliamsF1 team continued testing at Jerez in Spain today with lead driver Mark Webber working on developing components for the new FW27 while Antonio Pizzonia took over from Nick Heidfeld as the pair shoot it out to see who will be Webber's team mate in 2005.

"Antonio Pizzonia joined Mark Webber at Jerez today for his first test session of 2005," explained WilliamsF1 test team manager Tim Newton. "Unfortunately, however, we experienced a number of technical problems which prohibited Antonio from running at full pace. Mark achieved the quickest time of the session while concentrating on tyre evaluations with Michelin in the interim FW26. Nick Heidfeld will join Antonio tomorrow for the penultimate day of the test."
