Toyota test driver Ricardo Zonta set the pace during Michelin's wet tyre test at Jerez on Saturday. The Brazilian put in 119 laps on the artificially soaked circuit to finish ahead of BAR Honda's Jenson Button - the only other driver in action today.
The circuit was soaked by a large tanker which at one point ran off track and got stranded in the gravel. It had to be emptied of water before it could physically be moved.
While Zonta was in action almost all of the day, Jenson Button did not take to the track until midday as mechanics worked to fix a problem with his car.
Testing concludes tomorrow at Jerez with a second day on an artificially soaked track.
