Pizzonia: I want to race!
17 February 2005Unfortunately for the Brazilian Nick Heidfeld will join Mark Webber at the Australian grid on the sixth of March. Pizzonia missed out on Williams' second seat and is now looking at the Champ Car series because the 24-year old wants to race, not test. "I don't want to test another season, I want to race!" he told F1Racing.net in Barcelona.
Pizzonia isn't the kind of driver that wants to remain a test driver in Formula One. He wants to race: "I want to race where I can win races and go for the championship and Champcar would be ideal at the moment. We are talking with several teams and I'm going to test for a Champcar team in the next few days probably."
Pizzonia doesn't want to forget Formula One though. "It is a difficult decision, I want to race, but on the other hand I also want to be in Formula One. It is a difficult decision and I am not sure yet what the best choice for my career is at the moment. I will take my time now to make a good decision for my racing career now. One of the teams that we're talking to is Newman Haas," Pizzonia revealed.
But will Frank Williams let him go? "I don't know, you will have to ask him," Pizzonia smiled.
Pizzonia won't travel to Valencia next week with the Williams team. He might have had his last test with the Williams team this week...
