Paul Ricard Day 2: Zonta on top

Toyota test driver Ricardo Zonta set the pace during testing at Paul Ricard on Thursday. It was a day of changeable weather conditions with some rain showers interrupting the action.

Zonta was joined by Jarno Trulli but because of the changeable weather conditions they managed just 109 laps between them. While Zonta was fastest Trulli was eighth and last.

McLaren test drivers De la Rosa and Alex Wurz finished second and third fastest and by contrast to the Toyota pair managed to complete 200 laps. The finished ahead of the Renault test driver duo of Franck Montagny and Heikki Kovalainen.

BAR Honda was again the only other team in action as Jenson Button joined Anthony Davidson. They completed 118 laps between them and finished sixth and seventh.
