Despite having tested for the BMW WilliamsF1 team in Valencia last January 2003 ETCC champion Andy Priaulx doesn't believe his future career lies in F1. Although he will drive the FW26 again at Rockingham in May Priaulx prefers the racing in touring cars.

"For me I think my future is in Touring cars, because I'm a realistic person, but if an opportunity did come around I would not say not," Priaulx told F1Racing.net. "But for me the most important thing in my carreer is that I work for a manifacturer and I'm not a driver who requires sponsorship to go racing. In Formula 1 you still need to have the sponsors. To me it's a good level to be here."

Commenting on the 2005 F1 championship Priaulx added, "This championship is very spectacular, but Formula 1 still hasn't got a lot of overtaking. Touring cars have always been spectacular racing and always will be, people always enjoy here and it have its appeal. In Formula 1 you'll always enjoy the glamour, the sounds, the noise and the spectacle, in Touring cars you'll always enjoy the nose-to-tail racing, from lap 1 to the end."
