New Formula One team coming up?

03 May 2005

Plans are well advanced for a second Australian-owned F1 team. 36-year-old engineer Mark Preston, who has worked for Arrows and McLaren, is compiling an all-new grid attack.

The Oxford-based Aussie reportedly has a ready-made team HQ lined up, experienced ex-Arrows and Ferrari man Paul Bowen as chief designer, and is now seeking a financial backer.

'Preston Racing' may attempt Le Mans prior to F1, Motor Racing Australia magazine said. "I am pretty much hooked on F1," Mark commented. "If it's the same as everything else I've done it shouldn't be too much of a problem."
