Jordan in football link
09 May 2005Former flamboyant grand prix principal Eddie Jordan is linked with a $190m takeover of football team Manchester City. Speculation, although denied by a City spokesman, says the Irishman and Bryan Richardson are heading a consortium's proposal. "We have received no contact from Jordan," the spokesman said.
In fact, he revealed, Jordan may already be a 'shareholder' of the Manchester United football team. Meanwhile, fellow Irishman and ex-Jordan driver Eddie Irvine popped up again - his second appearance in two races - in the Barcelona F1 paddock.
"I'm into a wide range of projects," the Ulsterman, who also raced for Ferrari and Jaguar until 2002, told f1.com, "including real estate."
