Column: Devastated…

I am sure you will understand this column won't be about Formula One this time… The things that happened this morning in London are incredible. I'm really devastated after I heard the news.
I flew in at Birmingham this morning and when I exited the airplane they told me about the problems in the subway. It wasn't completely clear yet what had happened in the subway. They thought it was a power cut. Not much later they told me it were bombs in subway stations and busses… My thoughts are with the families of the victims.

It is terrible if you have to live in fear and that someone else can decide what is going to happen with your life simply because they don't agree with some political issue.
I am at Silverstone when I'm writing this and although it's not extremely busy yet in the paddock everyone is watching the news on TV, who can blame them…
Fans don't have to worry though to come and watch the action at the track. Silverstone organisers told us there is extra safety and I am sure no one would attack an event such as Formula 1.
