Newey to stay at McLaren

Adrian Newey surprised the F1 world on Tuesday by revealing that he will stay at McLaren throughout next year. McLaren's top designer and technical director, after recently signing a short-range extension to his contract, let it slip to Italy's La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I had intended to have a rest," said the Englishman, "but for the moment this step can wait."
