Davidson getting bored at BAR

26 August 2005

Anthony Davidson is ready to leave BAR when he gets the chance to race for another team. He will only stay at the Brackley based team if he gets the opportunity to race. Davidson is test driver for BAR since 2001.

"There are indeed a lot of stories about me in the media, on which I will not comment," he told F1Racing.net. "But it is true; I have met Alex Shnaider (owner of Jordan-Midland). I want to race next year. But we are all waiting for Jenson's decision. The next steps in driver positions are hanging on that."

If Button leaves, there is a good chance for Davidson to race, although the team also is talking to other drivers. "I hope I have a good chance, but I don't know. I want to race next year, we are talking to every team with a seat available. This is a boring year for me, without the Friday running. I raced once this year, in Sepang, just a few laps till they engine broke down."

"I enjoy every second I'm in the car. But I feel I am not in the car enough. Hopefully next year it will be a different story."
