Haug: Christijan is someone to watch out for

On Sunday Christijan Albers gave away a demonstration at Zandvoort (The Netherlands) during the DTM weekend at the Dutch track. His former DTM team Mercedes invited him. Mercedes Sporting Director Norbert Haug was happy to see him again. "Christijan is very talented and someone to watch out for," said Haug.

"Christijan Albers is our special guest this weekend," commented Haug in Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf. The German sporting Director of Mercedes still follows Albers closely. "Obviously I follow him in Formula One and he is doing great. Sometimes I can give him some advice. At the start of the season he had some problems with the car, but he also showed some remarkable performances. I won't forget his qualifying and race performance in Canada!"

"Chris is very talented and someone to watch out for. Some people might laugh at him because he drives at a team like Minardi, but don't forget that Fernando Alonso (currently Championship leader) started his career with Minardi too."
