Zonta on top in second practice

Toyota test driver Ricardo Zonta showed McLaren the pace of Toyota as he placed them back to second, third and fourth. Zonta's fastest time 1.20.531 was over a second faster than anyone else in the second practice session at Monza. Michael Schumacher crashed out at Lesmo.

The second session was a lot busier on track than the first session. All the drivers went out. Nicolas Kiesa though had to pull over in his first lap as his Jordan's Toyota engine gave up on him.

The only driver getting into trouble was Michael Schumacher. He spun off at Lesmo and damaged the rear of his car but could get out of the car without any problems.
