With the battle for the constructors' championship well and truly on, Renault heads to the Far East knowing it has new parts for their car in Japan and a new spec engine for the final race of the season in China.
"We have got a suspension update in Japan, and some new aero parts - we are transferring things we find during the development of the R26 where possible," explained the team's technical director referring to next year's car. "Of course, the main update to come is the E spec engine in China, which should be a good step forward."
Regarding progress in developing the new 2006 car Bell added, "It is progressing well. The project timing is on schedule. On the performance side, the stable aero regulations mean that gains are harder to find than they were this time last year, but the development is ticking along nicely."
