| Herman Tilke |
Shanghai circuit designer Herman Tilke said the drain which ended Juan Pablo Montoya's race and possibly even McLaren's hopes of the constructors' championship was down to a drain cover which hadn't been locked down properly.
"The drain cover was not locked, that was the problem," Tilke said. "It was under pressure and the tyres threw it out and it was just bad luck. Every piece has to be locked down and that was not done with that part."
