Teams agree to rule changes
24 October 2005F1 teams have agreed in principle to all Max Mosley's proposed rule changes for 2006 after a meeting with them, Bernie Ecclestone, a representative for the tyre manufacturers, race promoters and major sponsors.
The most radical suggestion was the new double rear wing concept which would go hand in hand with a return to slick tyres. There was agreement among all parties on this count and could come in as soon as 2007, subject to approval by team technical directors.
Tyre changes will also return next season, although some teams objected - but not enough to block the move.
