Albers signs two-year deal at Midland

On Tuesday Christijan Albers will officially be announced as Midland's first official driver. Christijan Albers impressed with his Formula One debut this season at Minardi, scoring four points and showing a strong performance in most of his races at the Italian team.

F1Racing.net sources suggest that Midland and Christijan Albers signed a two-year contract. Details about their deal will be announced on Tuesday. 

Albers' management commented on the news: "We can not comment on these rumours. On Tuesday we will tell everyone about the 2006 plans of Christijan Albers."
