Piquet to land 'Friday' job?

21 November 2005

Nelson Piquet Jr is high in the queue to become Honda's 'Friday' F1 driver next season. The Brazilian, GP2 driver in 2005 and the son of the eponymous triple world champion, will reportedly test for the former BAR-Honda team at Jerez (Spain) next month.

Newspaper 'Folha de S. Paulo' (Brazil) said Piquet, 20, is slated to run on December 15 and 16.

Piquet tested for BAR in February this year, reportedly at the behest of then team owner British American Tobacco. Previously, he made his formula one car debut in a Williams.
