High speed crash for Badoer at Jerez

08 December 2005 / Photos

Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer crashed heavily into the tyre walls at Jerez this morning. The Italian went straight on into the final corner hitting the tyre wall. Fortunately Badoer climbed from the car unaided but marshals helped him walk to an ambulance which took him to the track's medical centre.

Badoer does not seem to have suffered any serious injury, but is unlikely to get back in the car today.

Badoer suffered another accident in testing on Wednesday when his front-right suspension failed under braking for a hairpin, he collided with the barriers then, but it was not as severe as this morning's incident.
