Aguri gets green light from teams
21 December 2005The Super Aguri team has secured the unanimous approval of all ten current F1 teams to re-lodge its application for next year's F1 world championship. Some teams were blocking the application, but have ben persuaded to climb down. Super Aguri can now re-apply to the FIA to enter the 2006 F1 championship.
"I'm very happy to announce that all ten F1 teams have approved our late entry to the F1 world championship today," Aguri Suzuki said. "I'd like to thank all of them and assure them that Super Aguri F1 will cooperate and do our best to reach your expectations. We appreciate your support and will not let you down."
The team is building its 2006 car at Leafield, UK - the former Arrows factory. The team is expected to use an updated version of the last Arrows car for the first few races of the season, until its own 2006 car will be ready.
