Ferrari wants to keep Schumacher

Ferrari is keen on extending Michael Schumacher's contract beyond the 2006 season. According to Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo Schumacher still has a great future ahead at the Italian team.

"It's Michael that has to decide what he wants to do in the future," said Di Montezemolo. "He is not just a part of our team, he is the future. He is simply the best driver."

At the moment it is still not clear what Michael Schumacher will do at the end of the upcoming season. He could quit the sport he loves, stay at Ferrari or maybe join another team.
