Shnaider lashes out at rumour mill

Midland owner Alex Shnaider has lashed out against the F1 rumour mill which has increasingly suggested he was on the brink of selling up. Despite keeping a relatively low personal profile in the sport since he acquired the team from Eddie Jordan over a year ago, Shnaider has spoken out.

"I wonder what the motivation is for spreading this bull and why they never grow tired of publishing the same lies, over and over again," Shnaider told Canada's Globe and Mail newspaper. "Despite the constant rumours the fact is I haven't sold the team and it continues to operate at a healthy level."

"The media that has been writing these rumours should go back and analyse everything they wrote about us last year and see whether anything they reported actually happened," he added. "I will continue to invest in the team for as long as I'm passionate about competing in the sport and given I've loved F1 since my childhood, I don't see that enthusiasm fading any time soon."
