New engine for Nico Rosberg

New engine for Nico Rosberg

15 July 2006

The WilliamsF1 team has decided it will place a new Cosworth engine in Nico Rosberg's car. It means Rosberg will drop back 10 places at Sunday's French Grand Prix grid.

A spokesperson explained to F1Racing.net: "We over-revved the engine a bit at Indianapolis and we were not sure how the exact condition of the engine was. After the free practice sessions on Friday and this morning we found out the engine needs to be changed."

The engine change means Rosberg will go back ten places at tomorrows grid. But there is also good news. "Cosworth brought their new specs engine for Magny-Cours. Mark Webber already has it fitted in his car, but now Nico can also qualify and race with Cosworth's latest version."
