Ferrari vs Renault in numbers

Renault leads Ferrari in the constructors' championship by just 21 points after eleven rounds, but where has Renault made up the advantage, and where has Ferrari lost out?

Looking at wins, Renault is beating Ferrari by seven victories to four. Alonso has taken six, Fisichella one and Schumacher the four for Ferrari. Renault has also achieved one more podium finish between its two drivers than Ferrari - the French car manufacturer leads on that front 13 to 12.

Ferrari, however, has the upper hand in fastest laps with five so far this season compared with Renault's three. Unfortunately for the Italian team there are no extra points for those.

Renault has started from pole six times while Ferrari has just four poles.
