Montezemolo: We should be leading the championship

Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo believes Ferrari would be leading the championship if the Italian team didn't have such a poor start of the season. Ferrari is currently 21 points behind on Renault.

Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport Di Montezemolo said: "If we didn't lose points in Malaysia and Australia we wouldn't be in the current situation but we would be leading the championship."

"Since Imola we collected the most points. We would be leading the championship if it wasn't for Malaysia, Australian and don't forget what happened in Monaco. But now we are determined to fight for the lead until the end of the season."

Di Montezemolo is positive about the outcome of Michael Schumacher's home Grand Prix. "I expect to win at Hockenheim too."
