Todt to announce future after end of season

Ferrari team principal Jean Todt says he will announce his future plans and whether he will stick with the Italian team after the end of the current season. Todt's contractruns out at the end of this year and he added that the team's 2007 driver line-up would be announced well before his own decision was made.

"About the team organisation, an announcement will be after the end of the season," Todt told Reuters when asked whether he would be staying for another two years. "Most of the time it's been like that so it's nothing strange, nothing new."

"With the drivers we need to announce it earlier than that for contract reasons," he added. "The day I leave, I will not go to any similar job or position so that makes things much easier for announcements."
