Pizzonia returns to Champ Car

Former Williams and Jaguar F1 driver Antonio Pizzonia has signed up with Champ Car team Rocketsports where he will team up with former Jordan F1 test driver Nicky Pastorelli.

Pizzonia already drove one race with the team earlier this year at Long Beach where he qualified in eleventh position and finished in tenth.

"I am so excited to be returning to the Champ Car paddock," said Pizzonia. "I am really looking forward to having another opportunity to run with the Rocketsports team and think that we can have a good weekend together in the #18 Rocketsports car. I am familiar with Circuit Gilles Villeneuve from my past days in Formula One (raced in Montreal in 2003 as a driver for the Jaguar Racing Team in F1), so that is a definite plus for not only me as a rookie Champ Car driver, but it will also be a nice advantage for the team. I hope to have a good weekend, enjoy myself, and leave Montreal with a good finish for Rocketsports."
